Lawyers hold confidential client information. This policy explains what LawyerPA collects, why, and the control you keep over it.
1. What we collect
Account details (name, email, phone, firm, role). The case content you enter: cases, hearings, parties, documents, fees and notes. Usage records such as sign-in times, device and IP address, kept for security.
2. How we use it
To run your diary, send the reminders you set, bill your package and keep accounts secure. We do not sell data, show advertising, or read case content except when you ask us to for support.
3. The assistant
When you use drafting or the assistant, the relevant case text is sent to our AI provider to produce a response. It is not used to train models. Firms can switch the assistant off for all members.
4. Who can see it
Only members of your firm, within the role the partner assigns. Our staff access an account only on your request for support, and every access is logged.
5. Where it is stored
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and backed up daily. Firm packages can choose the storage region.
6. Retention
We keep your data while your account is open. After closure, it is deleted within 30 days, and removed from backups within 90 days.
7. Your rights
You can view, correct, export and delete your data from Settings, or ask us to do it. Clients whose details appear in a firm’s records should contact that firm first.
